Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Welcome to Peru! Unwind in the capital city and get ready for the adventure ahead.
Upon arrival at Lima Airport, an Inca Expert representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. Use the rest of the day to relax after your journey or explore the city’s renowned culinary scene.
Day 2: Private Lima City Tour & Flight to Cusco
Experience the best of Lima’s colonial charm and vibrant neighborhoods before heading to the Andes.
Your morning begins with a private tour through Lima’s modern districts and historic downtown. Visit landmarks such as Plaza San Martín, the Presidential Palace, Lima Cathedral, and the San Francisco church and catacombs. In the afternoon, you’ll fly to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. The evening is yours to rest and acclimate to the altitude.
Day 3: Private Cusco City Tour
Step into the heart of the Inca Empire as you explore ancient temples and colonial treasures.
Today’s private tour explores the highlights of Cusco, including the majestic Cusco Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and the impressive Sacsayhuamán ruins just outside the city. In the afternoon, enjoy time at your leisure—browse San Pedro Market or explore the artsy San Blas neighborhood.
Day 4: Sacred Valley Tour & Train to Aguas Calientes
Journey through the breathtaking Sacred Valley and board the train to Machu Picchu’s gateway.
Set out on a private journey through the Sacred Valley. Highlights include the agricultural terraces of Moray, the salt flats of Maras, and the fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo. After the tour, board a scenic train to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll stay overnight in preparation for your Machu Picchu visit.
Day 5: Machu Picchu Tour & Return to Cusco
Explore the legendary Lost City of the Incas and take in its mystery and grandeur.
Rise early and take the shuttle up to Machu Picchu for a privately guided tour of the ancient citadel. Take in the breathtaking views, learn about Incan engineering and spirituality, and capture memorable photos. Return to Aguas Calientes to begin your journey back to Cusco by train and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Departure or Travel Extension
